Triathlon Stars of the Future

On Sunday 13th Sept., Sarah and Rebecca Donnelly took part in the children's triathlon in Loughrea. The event consisted of a 150m lake swim, a 2 km cycle and a 1 km run. All competitors were chip timed which added to the competitiveness of the event. Sarah had a fantastic swim and was first out of the water. She continued the race with an excellent performance in the cycle and the run to come fourth overall in her age group. Following on from her sister’s superb result, Rebecca put in a top class performance in all three events and was duly rewarded with first place in her age group.
