Aquathon results (race 3)
Another enjoyable evening of racing was had by all who turned out for the penultimate race in the Gortnor Abbey Aquathlon Series. It was David Brennan, a new member of Liquid Motion Triathlon Club who stormed home to take first place with a huge gap between himself and Bernard McGuiness in second place with the rest of the field steadily streaming in. David Brennan originates from the Castlebar Cycling Club and took the fastest bike split at the PowerAde Salmon Run Triathlon this year as part of a relay team and is definately one to watch as he has entered his first triathlon in Lough Key on 9th September. The results from the 3rd race in the Aquathlon series are now available. The current league standing after 3 races is viewable here. All the scores have been calculated by adding up each athletes score from the previous 3 races and dividing by 3, if you missed a race then your average will be low, but don't worry there's one more race on the 29th August and your best 3 races count...
