- Ballina Tour de Turlough on 8th May

The Ballina Leg of the Tour de Turlough cycle league is taking place on Friday the 8th of May and not Friday May 1st (as perviously published in Cycling Ireland Yearbook). This is a great team bike race. Remember sign on will be at Ballina Swimming Pool at 18:30 on Friday May 8th.

- Club Member completes Boston Marathon

Congrats to Sean Gallagher who today completed the Boston Marathon in a truely impressive time of 2hr 57 mins. Sean has been training away all Winter, putting in serious mileage, after successfully qualifying for Boston when he completed Dublin City Marathon (his first marathon!) in 2hr 59 min. Sean reckons he was going well today until the last 3 miles. At that pace I'm sure many of us would have run out of steam far earlier. Sean has kindly offered to organise a run time trial session for Club members on his return to Ireland. Keep a look out for this run session.
